Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F)
AI-assisted development raises a governance question for IT leaders: how do you capture the productivity of Claude Code and the Claude API without letting one-off prompts become unreviewable production risk? This intermediate course gives development teams a shared, repeatable approach to building with Claude. Built for software engineers, backend developers, and system architects who already work with APIs, the course moves from Claude Code setup and context control through API foundations, prompt evaluation, tool use, RAG and vector search, and MCP servers. It closes with agent workflows and a capstone agentic multimedia article system. Along the way, teams practice planning modes, success criteria, custom commands, hooks that block sensitive information, test datasets and graders, and human approval steps that keep AI-generated changes scoped and auditable. For Team Leads, the result is consistent practice: common tasks such as dependency audits, test writing, and pull request summaries become repeatable commands instead of ad hoc prompts, and defects surface during evaluation rather than after release. With 40 skills across 32.4 hours, Training Managers can assign the course in sections over several weeks, use CBT Nuggets Playlists to sequence skills by role or project phase, and rely on Team Reporting so IT Directors can track progress across assigned learners.
