For IT leaders
What IT leaders need to know before assigning this course
For IT leaders: When a dozen Agile teams each report progress but the integrated product still doesn't ship, the gap is usually coordination, not effort. This course uses a running case study, PulsePoint Medical, to show how SAFe closes that gap. It covers PI planning, the system demo, inspect and adapt, clear ART roles, and work that enters the backlog properly before it is planned.
Role fit: Assign it to Scrum Masters, project managers, and Team Leads working on or moving to an Agile Release Train. IT Directors and managers sponsoring a SAFe adoption will also benefit from the course’s focus on system-level thinking, role boundaries, servant leadership responsibilities, and common anti-patterns that can affect SAFe execution.
Time investment: Plan for about 9.6 hours per learner across 11 skills. The final skill includes a 90-minute practice exam.
Risk and change management: The course moves from story to mechanics, helping teams share one consistent model of SAFe events, ART roles, dependencies, PI planning, and continuous improvement. That shared model helps teams spot coordination issues earlier and understand when problems should be handled at the team level or escalated to the Release Train Engineer.
How CBT Nuggets supports the outcome: The closing skill pairs a full-length practice exam and walkthrough with a downloadable quick-reference guide, so learners can confirm they are ready before they sit the SAFe Scrum Master exam.
